September 2016 Planning Applications Added

The Planning applications recently submitted to East Hampshire District Council for the Ropley area are summarised on this site.

To search yourself for Planning Applications or see more detail on an individual application, use EHDC’s “Simple Search”:

https://planningpublicaccess.easthants.gov.uk/online-applications//

You can search for a street name, fairly unique ones like Gascoigne Lane will just show your street, names like Church Lane will produce results from all the Church Lanes in the EHDC area.

Legacy Ropley Websites Now Hosted Here

Due to Hampshire County Council announcing its intention to withdraw the free hosting service it has been providing to local non-profit organisations, three “legacy” Ropley websites are now hosted here.

These sites are frozen at their time of publishing and will not be updated. They are however still valuable resources for village historical and planning purposes. They comprise:

Village Design Statement

Ropley at the Millennium

Annals of Old Ropley

Ropley Society Website Migration

The Ropley Society website has been migrated to WordPress.

WordPress is a free and open-source content management system (CMS). Used by more than 23.3% of the top 10 million websites as of January 2015, WordPress powers more than 60 million websites.

This gives us a firm base on which to expand the site and include more content of interest to Ropley residents. At this stage the site includes the complete content from the original site — watch this space for more!

Happy New Year Ron
